Our Commitment
Stucky's Garage Doors wants every visitor to be able to read, navigate, and use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or browser zoom. Accessibility is something we build in, not something we bolt on afterward.
The Standard We Target
We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We do not use accessibility overlay scripts. Those tools do not fix underlying code, and they can get in the way of assistive technology instead of helping it.
What Is Built In
- A skip link to the main content on every page.
- Semantic headings in a logical order, with one main heading per page.
- Keyboard access to every link, button, and form control, with a visible focus outline.
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and empty alt text on purely decorative ones.
- Labels tied to every form field, including the free bid request form.
- Frequently asked questions built with native, expandable HTML elements that a screen reader or search engine can read without running any JavaScript.
- Motion that respects your browser's reduced motion setting.
Known Limitations
Some services we link to or embed, such as our review platforms and mapping tools, are run by other companies and are outside our direct control. If one of them is a barrier for you, contact us and we will help you get what you need another way, such as over the phone.
Report a Barrier
If any part of this site is hard to use, email stuckysgaragedoors@gmail.com or call 314-280-6182 and describe the page and what happened. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix confirmed barriers as soon as we can.
This is general information, not legal advice.
